DealPump Updates

2/19/05 - Options tab functionality bugs were fixed - the "find" buttons now update their respective edit controls; the "restore previous values" button now performs properly; and a full "seed" field now accepts the backspace key.

1/22/05 - Updated links for move to new site URL. Changed installer saving almost 200k for downloaders.

10/24/04 - Fixed issue with filter save / save as. Displayed filter editor status in the title bar.

10/23/04 - Added a preset ( #P {R} ) to assign standard board dealer and vulnerability of deals produced by the filter. The optional R argument causes the hands to be rotated in sync with the dealer position.

10/21/04 - Fixed issue that limited attribute expression to only two "AttrSpecs".

10/6/04 - Removed extra [DEAL ... entry in PBN logs. Separated deal window color control (in Options tab) from filter editor coloring (in Edit menu.) Changes to any default directory on the options tab is now reflected immediately in the program.

1/2/04 - Fixed bug in trick sequencing that occured when a double appeared in the auction.

10/18/01 - Hand record files can now be loaded from the command line or by drag and drop to the DealPump window. Default folders can now be set (in DealPump's "Options" tab) with a built-in directory tree browser instead of having to type in the whole folder name. New program icon.

1/25/01 - PBN files that don't use CR-LF line termination are now processed correctly.

7/26/00 - fixed incorrect hcp display in hands that were logged to a file.

6/8/00 - fixed odd behavior of splitter between filter editor and filter help.

6/6/00 - expanded the space below the auction header to accomodate character descenders in player names properly. Also added the ability to maximize DealPump when displaying the hand or filter editor tab sheet.

2/10/00 - fixed bug in the logic for displaying only specific seats via check boxes on the options page.

2/8/00 - added Kaplan Points times four attribute.

1/26/00 - added attribute for Kaplan Points (as I interpreted the article) - see the October 1982 issue of The Bridge World for details about this hand evaluation method.

1/22/00 - fixed problem that kept correct filters from compiling after a filter error had been detected in a DIST or SHAPE constraints. Also switched to a different installation program which seems to have cured the abnormal failures that some users have experienced during installs.

1/21/00 - added ctrl-X and ctrl-C for clipboard operations on the "Options" page. (Ctrl-V was already implemented for paste.)

1/19/00 - forced randomization at startup and added naming convention for Eval-Play files to facilitate the display of Eval-Play file lists.

1/18/00 - added a primitive capability to log in Eval-Play format, including a preset (#P command) for inserting Eval-Play commands in the log file. Eval-Play is available at http://www.ics.uci.edu/~dan. Also fixed a few bugs in the default directory options.

1/8/00 - added a filter name preset (#f name), the period expression terminator (that accepts a deal immediately if true), the PBN "Generator" tag, and a suit specifier that produces suits based on "fit rank" with partner. Also swapped some of the controls on the Hands and Options tabs. Finally, fixed an editor bug that cropped up when DealPump shutdown sequence is aborted via the "save filter" warning.

12/29/99 - added score reports to the title bar for imported hand records. Tournament records now process pass-out hands correctly.

12/23 - expanded and improved logging and OKbridge tournament record handling.

12/21 - improved syntax checking.

12/17 - corrected trick counting error on OKB club hand records. First non-beta release.

12/14 - added Contract and ContLevel attributes and accomodated additional variability in the tourney import format.

12/13 - added OKbridge tourney import format support and a tabsheet for entering alternative honor and distribution point assignments. Removed #P preset for these assignments. Fixed bug in replay functionality.

12/10 - added attributes for the second round of bidding and made some interface changes.

12/9 - added default hand rotation, imp/mp OKb hand selection and visible turned card option. Also put font sizing in a menu.

12/7 - cleaned up interface and added bidding constraints, e.g. passes > 1 and bidopen = 1n;

12/5/99 - fixed error when entering multiple distribution constraints, e.g. n.shape = 5332,4333,4432;
