OKScript Issues

Bug: The current version does not terminate properly when Windows is shut down. For the time being you must exit it manually.

Bug: The September 2001 or later distributions of OKScript, when used to update an existing installation, may not properly change all shortcut icons to the current design. This is only a cosmetic flaw. It can be corrected by re-creating the troubling shortcuts.

Bug: OKScript occasionally fails to stay on top of other windows. The workaround is to simply click on the OKScript entry in the task bar or key alt-tab until OKScript is selected.

Limitation: Sending text to the OKScript program itself produces unpredictable results.

Bug: Some tabbed dialogs (message properties in Microsoft Exchange for one) don't respond to the OKScript generated ctrl-tab virtual keystroke to switch tabs. This one is a mystery. I know of no workaround, but if you do I'd appreciate hearing about it! Ctrl-tab does work for most such dialogs. Update: Lars Flaata wrote me with a possible solution to this problem which I am currently unable to test (I have no programs that currently exhibit this failure mode.) He noted that the tabbed dialog's initial input focus may be set to something other than the tab control. In this case one will often be able to sequence the focus back to the tab control with by sending a shift-tab, at which point ctrl-tab's should sequence through the dialog's tab sheets. Thanks for the tip, Lars.
