May 10, 1999 Dear OKScript User, The OKScript Status Report is sent to OKScript licensees, developers and friends when significant updates have been made to the program. To be removed from the distribution list please reply to this message and indicate that desire. This period saw only four minor tweeks/fixes to the program. If these issues affect your scripts you can download the latest revision from http://home1.gte.net/yweare. Your existing license will automatically be active on the new software if you install it to the same directory, otherwise you will have to re-enter the registration data (or copy the okscript.ini file from the folder where your licensed program was installed.) The current build is dated May 6, 1999. Click Help | About to determine the date of your copy of OKScript. This list is presented in approximate order of importance. 1. The PLACE instruction in the 32 bit version was extended to support the dual monitor option available in Windows 98. Specifying a position in the second monitor now causes panels to be PLACEd in that monitor. 2. OKScript's install sequence no longer uses Notepad to display the 'readme' file because international versions of Windows have different names for this application, which broke the script that interacts with it. A dedicated window now displays this information. 3. The PRAGMA HELPFILEOFF no longer does strange things when there are only buttons in the panel. 4. Much of the Help file's tutorial section was re-worked to improve clarity. Bug reports and requests for program changes have practically stopped. Consequently, unless you have change requests, script techniques or anything else that you specifically want discussed, the frequency of these letters will slow. Let me know if you have anything that you would like to see written about at yweare@gte.net, or post them to the message board at the web site. Thank you again for using OKScript.
