Sample Scripts for OKScript

This is a repository of OKScript scripts from different users that illustrate a variety of scripting techniques and applications. They are stored as .txt files for display purposes. You should rename them to .OKS to run on your system. If you have a script that does something interesting and you'd like to submit it to this page then send it along!
  • A wealth of scripts for table managers can be found at André's site and the Fireside tutors site.
  • A basic button panel script for OKbridge's Windows (OKwin) client
  • A basic menu panel derived from the above basic button panel.
  • An example of using the mouse capabilities to automate e-bridge.
  • An example for Bride Base Online submitted by Brian Meadows, that also uses the mouse functionality.
  • Yet another BBO sample.
  • Colon Ward's collection of OKScript tips for OKbridge. (First published June 1999 to Usenet - Rec.Games.Bridge.OKBridge.)
  • Dave Miller's elaborate (and slightly reformatted) palette script for the expanded menu screen shot on the oks OKbridge page. Dave was working out this script while I was writing version 4.0 of OKScript. It was a very instrumental project in wringing out OKScript's bugs and feature set. Don't try this for your first  (or second) script! (Also note, this program works only in OKScript 4.0 legacy mode and needs to be modified to run under OKScript-X.)
  • Dave's palette script (above) has evolved into a generalized OKBridge script for regular and pickup partnerships and is available here! Download the Extensible Modular OKScript Alert Library - EMOAL.exe (third beta, about 64k). Note: on OKScript-X EMOAL runs only in legacy mode. Dave provides support for EMOAL and can be reached at work or home.
  • In a similar vein as EMOAL, Charles Gray has developed a script complex for precision and Polish Club that works with Bridge Base Online. A readme file with instructions for setting up these scripts is included in the zipped download.
  • Here is a script from Mike Cepek to switch POP3 servers in Netscape Messenger.

Download a script that doesn't work? Check that you are using the most recent OKScript release, and that it is being run in the mode (OKSX or legacy) that it was designed for.
