I am a member of the expert panel of the problem solvers for "Brydz" magazine, the Polish version of "The Bridge World." The "Polish Club" is considered standard for this purpose. Here is the version they provided me: "Polish Club" 95 Openings: 1C: preparatory 12-14), natural (15-17), or strong (18+) 1D: 5 cards or 4 diamonds and 5 clubs, or 4-4-4-1 with 4 diamonds 1H, 1S: 5 cards (12-17) 1NT: 15-17 2C: Precision (5+ clubs, 11-14) 2D: "Wilkosz" (5+, 5+ at least one major, 6-10) 2H, 2S: weak two 2NT: minors (6-10) 3NT: gambling, no side stopper 4C, 4D: 9 tricks in hearts, spades respectively Responses and subsequent bidding: After 1C opening: 1D is either negative or semi-positive (7-11) with minor(s), or strong (17+) BALANCED, 2C, 2D: game forcing (minimum 5 cards), 3C, 3D: not forcing, good 6-card suit (9-11), 3H, 3S: 7-card suit with two top honors, nothing aside. 1C-1D-2D: artificial, game forcing After 1D opening: 2D is one round forcing, 3D is preemptive After 1H, 1S opening: 1NT is not forcing, 2 over 1 is one round forcing. 2NT is game forcing with support. After all 1-level openings and a 1H, 1S response, the responder's rebid of 2C is a relay (e.g. 1C-1S-1NT-2C). After all 1-level openings and a 2 over 1 response, the responder's rebid of 2NT is forcing. After 1NT opening: Stayman, 2D, 2H: transfers, 2S: transfer for clubs or invitation to 3NT, 2NT: transfer for diamonds, 3-level jumps indicate shortness (5-4-3-1) distribution). After 2C opening: 2D: relay, 3D, 3H, 3S: natural, forcing. After 2D opening: 2NT: relay. 3D: inviting with supports in both majors, 4D: supports both majors. After Weak Two opening: the lowest possible bid asks about shortness. A new suit is forcing. 2H-2NT: indicates a spade suit. After 3NT opening: 4D asks about a shortage. Slam bidding: Cue-bids, splinter, Blackwood, Hoyt, Josephine. After interference: Sputnik doubles through 4D after 1-level opening. 1C (1D)-1H-dbl: sputnik double, denies four spades. 1C-1D-dbl: both major fours. After an overcall a new suit at 2-level is not forcing, a new suit at 1-and 3-level is forcing. 1H(1S)-dbl-?-shift jumps and no trump bids promise support. Lebensohl. Defensive bidding: 1NT: 15-17, being last hand: 12-15. Single jumps: preemptive in any vulnerability. Michaels' cue-bids. The only negative bid after partner's take-out double is 1C-Dbl-pass-1D. Lebensohl after 2H(2S) opening and partner's take-out double. Leads: Top from honors, Rusinov from smalls, 9 from T(x(x...), T from Tx, natural from internal sequences.
